As it happens every year since 1877, the Wiener Staatsoper is turned into a huge ballroom to host the most important debutante ball of the Viennese carnival. The glamourous event took place on February 28th, attended by European high society, along with directors, actors, politicians and entrepreneurs. The young debutantes from all over the world wore classic white dresses and tiaras designed by the Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace and made by the Austrian company Swarovski. Donatella Versace took inspiration for the intricate accessory from Richard Wagner’s Das Rheingold.

This year, the music section of the event included Viennese music but also opera pieces – the overture from Guillaume Tell by G. Rossini, the aria “Nessun dorma” from Turandot by Puccini, “Il bacio” by L. Arditi and “O soave fanciulla” from La Boheme by Puccini, performed by the amazing couple Yusif Eyvazov and Anna Netrebko.
For this Opera Ball, the Russian soprano wore different outfits completed with a delicate necklace with a fine diamond-set lace within an undulating diamond surround by Chopard.

For the Red Carpet, Anna chose a blue mermaid style gown with a plunging neck line giving us edge and sophistication by American designer Rubin Singer. Crafted out of a luxe royal blue silk-wool blend, the fabric is sculpted to flatter the physique while creating a dramatic silhouette.
During the performance, the soprano wore a special creation from Russian fashion designer Ulyana Sergeenko: white column dress with a black band and lime -green cape.
For the Ball superstar soprano opted for a gown in sequined tulle with A-line silhouette and jewel neckline.

Terrible! Even an American designer was unable to add elegance to this woman, who has absolutely no taste in clothes or singing.
