The Opera Season 2017-2018 of the Teatro La Fenice closes under the sign of Gioachino Rossini with “Semiramide” – his last great opera – and with the display of the restored signed score. A tragic melodrama in two acts, which debuted at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice on February 3, 1823, “Semiramide” is staged in a new production by the young and talented director Cecilia Ligorio with the conduction of Maestro Riccardo Frizza.
The Australian soprano Jessica Pratt in the role of Queen Semiramide shines on stage thanks to her unique voice, her passionate acting and the amazing costumes designed by Marco Piemontese.
Gold rules the whole production: gold covers the stuccos of the amazing theater and gold is the scene design by Nicolas Bovey. Precious gold was also featured in the jewels worn by the Primadonna during the Opening Night Gala Dinner on October 19.
She wore an exclusive creation by Treesure, a collection of Italian jewellery created to combine this precious material with the Italian silk by the brand Filosofare: a long necklace made of coral-red silk threads, embellished with tiny diamond-cut spheres and white pearls.
Materials which emphasised Jessica Pratt’s shining beauty.
