This year Russia hosts the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the exciting tournament opened with a big concert in the Red Square on the evening of the June 13th. The great Russian pianist Denis Matsuev has brought together a group of opera stars for the event, including the protagonists of the opera Plácido Domingo and Juan Diego Flórez, Anna Netrebko, Yusif Eyvazov, Ildar Abdrazakov, Aida Garifullina and Albina Shagimuratova. At their side the Russian conductor Valery Gergiev directs the Mariinsky Orchestra, one of the most prestigious musical institutions in Russia.
Of course, Operafashion has focused on the primadonna Anna Netrebko.
For the first on-stage performance, Russian soprano wore a persian-blue kaftan dress with a band of bright crystals on the neckline and on the sleeves. Diamonds and sapphire earrings from Chopard.
In the second part of the concert, diva Anna sang with her husband Yusif Eyvazov the song “In questa reggia” from Puccini’s Turandot. For this performance, the soprano wore a dress with coordinated cape created for her by the Slovakian fashion-designer Boris Hanecka. A dream, red fire sparkling dress with a myriad of fringes and cristal embroidery. Multicolor long earrings from Chopard.
