The magazine Opera News, November 2016 issue, dedicates a long interview with the Bulgarian soprano Sonya Yoncheva after her success as Norma at Royal Opera House.
The photo-shoot by Fernando Pinheiro shows Sonya in excellent form with outfits that highlight its strong and impactful personality (http://www.operanews.com/Opera_News_Magazine/2016/11/Features/Soul_Sister.html)
Beautiful pictures in black and white! In a photo, the artist wonderfully wearing a white dress by Azzedine Alaïa, one of her favorite fashion-designers. This is like a breathe of sartorial fresh air. Featuring a slash neck, long sleeves and fitted bodice it accentuates the female form, while the full shape skirt exemplifies the tailoring, or rather sculpting that the maison is famed for. Also Alaïa the metallic silver leather sandal with floral laser-cut detailing.
In the second photo, the soprano wearing off the shoulder blouse made in black satin crepe material with cropped flared sleeves and coordinated skirt by Ellery. Azzedine Alaïa sandals. Necklace in white gold and diamonds by Bulgari, Diva dream’s collection.
