The Metropolitan Opera opened its 2016-2017 season on September 27 with a star-studded gala and performance of the new “Tristan und Isolde” starring the world’s preeminent Isolde, Nina Stemme, opposite Stuart Skelton as Tristan. Guests who attended were treated to cocktails and dinner.
Among the opera-celebrities who attended were Placido Domingo, Ailyn Perez and Susanna Philips both involved in the Puccini’s La Boheme production.
