GBOSCAR Awards 2016

Besides New York, Italy also celebrates the Opera artists! A few days ago, it ended the GBOSCAR – L’eccellenza dell’Opera, an award that the web-magazine GBOPERA has decided to pay tribute to the Opera world.

The new edition comprises seven categories of artists (best production, conductor, soprano, mezzo and contralto, tenor, baritone and bass) and the public was invited to express its preference clicking “ I like” on the links of the Facebook page.

Who won? For the best soprano and best mezzo categories, the prize was awarded to two charming and talented singers.

The best soprano, Irina Lungu for her Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Arena di Verona.

And the best mezzosoprano, Nino Surguladze for her Fenena in Verdi’s Nabucco at Arena di Verona.
