Zang Toi’s show “The Splendor of Santorini” was held on September 11 at New York Fashion Week. Evoking images of an elegant Grecian vacation: structured all-white, cotton knits, full sheer skirts surrounding close-fitting mini skits, and beaded embellishments made their way down the runway. Turquoise, ocean blue, white, and greens adorned most of the looks, keeping with the Grecian vacation theme calling the Mediterranean Sea to mind.
The show was a success with audience members included Ivana Trump, Patti LaBelle and divissima Anna Netrebko.
The Opera star wore a metallic bronze lame gown in Fortuny pleats by Zang Toi, of course. The gown is part of the Fall/Winter 2015 collection, “Mystique Beauty of Venice” inspired by a winter trip in Venice: a modern interpretation of classic Italian look , with the furs, the capes, the lush metallic fabrics.
