Jessica Pratt: Giovanna d’Arco in red

Fra i festival estivi, un posto di riguardo è occupato dal Festival della Valle d’Itria a Martinafranca, quest’anno particolarmente ricco e con due serate dedicate e Verdi e Wagner. Attesissima era la messa in scena della “Giovanna d’Arco” verdiana, opera molto bella ma poco rappresentata anche se ha sempre attratto le primedonne della lirica d’altri tempi (Tebaldi,Caballè, Dunn, Ricciarelli, Anderson). Primadonna indiscussa di questa produzione è stata Jessica Pratt, soprano australiano considerata una delle più valenti interpreti del belcanto oltre che interprete di grande sensibilità.

Disponibilissima con i suoi numerosissimi fans che sempre affollano il suo camerino, Jessica si è prestata a fotografie ed autografi con un outfit che esalta la sua carnagione chiara e i suoi capelli biondi. Firmato Marina Rinaldi, l’abito “Corallina” è rosso geranio dalla classica linea a tubino resa vivace da un motivo a coste; questo attraversa la scollatura e le maniche che lasciano nude la spalle. Lo stesso motivo a costine è ripreso ai lati dell’abito per esaltare le curve del corpo. Completa la mise una stola in seta color rosso di Persia.

Among the summer festivals, a special place is held by the Festival della Valle d’Itria Martinafranca: this year’s calendar is particularly interesting, including two evenings devoted to Verdi and Wagner. One of the most-awaited events was Verdi’s Joan of Arc, a beautiful opera which has been rarely staged, even though it has always attracted prima donnas (Tebaldi, Caballé, Dunn, Ricciarelli, Anderson). The undisputed protagonist of this production was Jessica Pratt, the Australian soprano considered one of the most talented performers of bel canto as well as a very sensitive singer.

Always happy to meet her fans after the shows, Jessica posed for photos and signed autographs wearing an outfit which emphasized her fair complexion and blonde hair. The “Corallina” scarlet red dress by Marina Rinaldi she wore has a classic sheath line and a ribbed pattern on neckline and straps. The same pattern can be found on the sides of the dress, where it enhances the curves. The dress was accessorized with a Persian red silk stole. A young and beautiful outfit, just like its wearer.
