Lots of expectation for the Stars of the White Nights Festival in Saint Petersburg, hosted by the Mariinskji Theatre. Maria Guleghina had two important performances within a few days of each other – starring in two of the most beautiful Italian operas. Once again she didn’t let the audience down and proved to be a great professional; she got applauses and a standing ovation for her performance as Norma and as Lady Macbeth.
She sang as the Druid priestess of Bellini’s opera wearing two bright-coloured evening dresses, both designed by Pronovias. The first dress was royal blue, characterised by an Empire line and embellished with rhinestones on the neckline and belt; it was made special by a chiffon cape starting from the shoulder straps. The second dress, made of fuchsia chiffon, had asymmetrical skirt and sleeves. Congratulations, Mrs. Guleghina!
L’attesa al Festival “Stelle delle Notti Bianche” del teatro Mariinskji di S. Pietroburgo era tanta: cantare da protagonista due delle opere più belle del repertorio italiano e a distanza di pochi giorni una dall’altra, non è cosa da poco! Maria Guleghina non ha tradito le attese e, da grande professionista quale è, ha fatto la felicità dei molti spettatori riscuotendo applausi ed una standing ovation per la sua interpretazione di Norma, prima, e di Lady Macbeth, dopo.
Per impersonare la sacerdotessa druide dell’opera di Bellini, il soprano russo ha scelto due abiti da sera dai colori intensi e decisi, entrambi firmati Pronovias. Il primo abito, color blu reale, di linea impero con applicazioni di strass sulla scollatura e sulla cintura, è reso importante dallo chiffon che partendo dalle spalline va a formare un mantello; il secondo abito, sempre in chiffon color fucsia, ha gonna ampia formata da piani asimmetrici di tessuto cosi come le maniche. Complimenti per il successo signora Guleghina!
