Il tocco glamour di Carmen! – Carmen’s touch of glamour!

“Otello” di G. Verdi al Teatro Colon di Buenos Aires è stato il momento clou dei festeggiamenti per il bicentenario verdiano. Molta era l’attesa per questo allestimento che vedeva il noto tenore argentino Josè Cura nel triplice ruolo di regista, scenografo e protagonista. Applauditissima protagonista femminile è stata il soprano Carmen Giannattasio la quale ha colpito il pubblico con una interpretazione oltremodo intensa di Desdemona. Poi tutto il cast a festeggiare e qui Carmen si è sbizzarrita a conciliare, nel suo outfit, il gusto italiano con quello londinese (città in cui vive)!

Dunque, abito di Karen Millen che ricorda i corsetti di linea vittoriana:  seta color cipria rivestita da finissimo pizzo nero sottolineato da una passamaneria dello stesso colore; poi scarpe open toe di Miu Miu in suede grigio e nero con tacco impreziosito da un elemento in metallo a forma di diamante; borsa mini Lady Dior. Infine, il tocco glamour  nei capelli: un fascinator in velluto e pizzo nero creazione di Lai Couture Hats in edizione limitata per il Diamond Jubilee.

Othello by G. Verdi at the Colon Theatre in Buenos Aires was the highlight of the celebrations for the bicentenary of the Italian composer. Lots of enthusiasm for this show, which saw the well-known Argentinian tenor José Cura in the triple role of director, set designer and protagonist. The female protagonist was the soprano Carmen Giannattasio: she won the audience’s hearts with an extremely intense interpretation of Desdemona. After the show all the cast gathered to celebrate; Carmen’s outfit mixed the Italian taste for fashion with a touch of London (the city where she lives).

She wore a Karen Millen dress, reminiscent of Victorian corsets – made of powder beige silk with a black lace overlay and matching trims; the accessories included black and grey suede open-toe shoes by Miu Miu, embellished with diamond-shaped metal heels, and a Lady Dior mini bag. She also wore a velvet and black lace fascinator by Lai Couture, a limited-edition piece designed for the Diamond Jubilee.
